It might also take a female hiker to appreciate a man smelling like a man.  
One of the sad things about ending a long hike is my boyfriend no longer 
smelled like himself.  The shirt still did.  That was just as sad. I am 
inclined to agree with the article based on my own uh...... non scientific 
experiments.
