[pct-l] sleeping open in the desert?

Heck, I sleep in the open period.

If the weather is nice, why cheat yourself out of a wonderful night sky? 
Yes, you may expose yourself to some bugs. But snakes and scorpions, I 
wouldn't be concerned about at all.

The most bizarre thing I've had happen is having big black carpenter ants 
periodically fall (jump?) out of a tree I was camped underneath. I just 
pulled my blanket up tighter around my chin and went to sleep. ;)
