FYI: On October 30, 2007 a federal court ruled in favor of the High Sierra Hiker Association in a lawsuit against the U.S. Forest Service for mismanagement of the John Muir and Ansel Adams wilderness.? The court ruled that the USFS's 2005 plan for regulating commercial packstock operations in the Muir-Adams is unlawful.? It failed to place limits on commercial packstock enterprises.
