[pct-l] Hiking in a Sport Kilt?

I actually have both regular cargo pants and zip offs from REI, and I
like both. I'm comfortable in both..my zip offs weigh in at 12 oz. I
actually rarely unzip them , as I dislike biting insects and getting
stuck by whatever is along the trail. However, I do like the option of
being able to convert mine into shorts, and not having to take shorts
along. They work great for me that way, and I've used them that way
several times. I don't find the zippers bother me at all- perhaps it's
just my own legs...or it's the length of this particular pair (they do
come in 3 lengths), but I find mine very comfortable and easy to work
with. I love the pockets -- can stuff all kinds of little stuff in them,
so it's handy for along the trail. :)

Would LOVE to see guys in kilts along the PCT...whatta show for us
gals!! Whoo hoo!!
