[pct-l] Water Purification

1. How much of the PCT have you hiked?

1600 miles; Mojave to Chimney Creek Campground plus Tuolomne Meadows to Manning Park.


2. What did you do about water purification?

Aqua Mira the whole way. Used it for streams, lakes, standing water, even if it came from springs, but I drank from free-flowing springs without treatment. Never had a problem. Carried Portable Aqua Iodine tablets and vitamin C as a back-up.


3. Would you make changes? What would you change?

Replace the 40 gram back-up system with 1 card of 10 Portable Aqua  chlorine dioxide tablets (6 grams).
