Switchback replies: Yes, much to the joy of the FEW and chagrin of the  MANY, 
the Old Fiend has cheated death once again.  This time with  the double knee 
operation today.
 
Much repair work was done and arthritis cooties scraped and  cleared.  So far 
very little pain, but I can tell deep inside the hard  core hiker trash 
juices starting to boil again.  The motto of the  trail is proudly once again, "No 
quarter asked, no quarter given".
 
The wounded will be trampled and left beside the trail to their  fate.  
Waving colored hiking pads and other rescue/surrender techniques  will not do you 
any good and only prolong your agony.  
 
THE TRAIL PIRATE IS BACK WITH A VENGEANCE!!
