Go to this site for a new way to hike the PCT.

I am going to get this approved by the proper authorities. See the video
too. I think the WagonMaster should use it on his geology expeditions. May be
they should have a booth at the April Kickoff.

Your pal, Switchback
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Awwwww, Switchback, you're not helping us 'lighten up'...

But, for you, it would give you back some self esteem doing it yourself instead of relying on the
Winnebago, porters, and pack string support (granted you don't rely on them for the couch-frig
yo-yos), but beware...
1) It has a wheel - not allowed - and the government won't approve it until all of us are long gone (the
jet pack will probably be approved first)...
2) Don't know about some of those Sierra stream crossings - it also looks like it would make a good
boat anchor (will have to lash a raft to it - more weight, but what the heck)...
3) Have fun on the snowy Sierra passes (substitute a ski for the wheel?) - you could lash on 3 ice axes
in preset positions so you would automatically self-arrest when you fall over - no matter in which direction ...
4) You'll draw too many other hikers wanting to share your camp (but really your gourmet food and drink)...
5) And yes, it will probably make Squatch's next video "Still Ever More Walking Again" for those so fond of
remembering 70 and 80 pound loads...

Maybe you can convince them to give you one for a test 'drive' and report to the list... Hope you don't get a
flat too far from the trailhead!
Or... you could just take a REAL mule instead! (already approved and 'legal' for PCT use)

Happy trails to Switchback, the gear guru!!!
Jim
