Rachael, I have a pair of glasses with Transition lenses and I do not like
them because they will not get dark enough when I wear a hat.
I ended up wearing a pair of SolarShield sunglasses that fits over my normal
glasses for about six weeks of my hike earlier this summer. I was surprised
at how well they worked for me, as it was a last minute purchase in
Bakersfield just before I went to Walker Pass. I found a pair of the "fits
over" sunglasses that were just slightly larger than my normal glasses,
weigh .9 ounce, and look pretty much like normal sunglasses when I wear
them. They have good side shielding, and worked much better than clip-on
sunglasses that I have used in the past.
