Sorry, I did forget to mention the product. It's an aluminum-framed front
pack, designed to be used with a backpack, and called the SyncPack:
_http://thesyncpack.com/index.htm_ (http://thesyncpack.com/index.htm) . I freely admit that
I get irritated when anyone tries to promote to the backpacking world, and
leaves out basics like weight, or lies about basics like weight. SyncPack isn't
lying, but others have.
I just learned for instance that the Oasis shirt from Railriders is
listed as 5 oz in their catalogs, going back at least two years; my small weighs
7.5 oz. Is that a lie of carelessness, or of comission; I don't know, and never
will know, but next time I'll buy someone else's shirt. I bought theirs
because it was supposedly lighter than anyone else's, and had the same features.
Since I just discovered this, and in fairness to them, I'm sending this email to
them also. I may be blunt, but try to be very open about it.
