The exit USED to be called "Verbannia", but it's now "Heugman-Leamman"
(I'm sure I'm butchering the spelling on these). But to ID it from the
eastbound I-10, it's the last exit before you get to the 111 that runs
through Palm Springs.

Tell him to start looking for the exit about 5 minutes past the big
casino tower in Cabazon (no possible way he can miss it) and that if he
passes the 111, he's gone too far. When he starts to pass the first of
the big wind turbines, he's almost there!

NO PCT signage visible from the freeway.

Have him exit at Heugman-Leaman and turn left. Then turn left again at
the first road (not the westbound freeway onramp). The trail is about an
eighth mile west. Th etrail passes under the I-10 and the bridge is
obvious on the left side.

>From John-Wayne airport, it's about an hour and a half IF THERE IS NO
TRAFFIC.
Depending on day and time, there could be horrible traffic getting there
from Orange County...

If still possible, I suggest he fly into Ontario Airport, which is on
the I-10 and traffic is much better on the eastbound lanes most every
day and time.

My husband is meeting me at the I-10 crossing of the PCT north of the
San Jacinto's. Can anyone tell me what exit he should take and if
there is a PCT sign he would see? How long would it take him to drive
from the Orange County airport? (He's a little bit map and directionally
challenged so every obvious piece of advice would help.)

Thanks
Sue
