Subject: Re: AL SHAVERS jmt record attempt up-date
I was wondering if it would be okay for folks to meet someone doing this along the way. Just to make sure the runner/hiker is doing okay and not pushing too much. That would still be unsupported, I think.
It seems a safety check by others at maybe three spots along the trail would be smart. He would not have to stop for more than 2 minutes to say hello and let everyone know he is fine. May be these would be nap spots too.
Thanks, Switchback
