[pct-l] JMT record??

Yes,  Tortoise,   Kevin has really established himself as one of our
outstanding endurance athletes and  I am fortunate to have met him.  He is a
tremendous backpacker and an accomplished trail runner.
He did a lot of backpacking with his father as a youngster and may very well
be the youngest solo JMT through hiker. He started hiking the Sierra with
his father when he was 5. His father fastpacked the JMT in 9 days in 1971
and 9 years later at age 14 Kevin solo fastpacked the JMT also in 9 days.
But remember that was before the ultra light revolution.
Kevin now is a practicing physician and the father of three and still very
much in love with the Sierra.
