[pct-l] Section A, Border->Warner Springs in December?

Hi all,
A friend and I were considering doing section A in early December. Has
anyone gone on trips in the area at around this time in the year?  I know it
will be cold, and obviously, the days will be short... but is this that bad
of an idea?
