 GREAT  NEWS!!!

 Andy informed me he just completed the 1726 miles PCT section from the
 Mexican border to Castle Crags in 45.6 days.
 I dropped Andy off at the border on June 5, 2006 at 6:15 pm and he finished
 on July 21.
 That is 1726 miles not counting resuply miles or a 17 mile side trip to Mt.
 Whitney.
 The 45.6 days includes 2.75 days lost due to a dropped package and a closed
 post office.

> WOW!!!.......1726 miles in 45.6 days......that is 37.8 miles per day  &
if
 one discounts the 2.75 lost days..... that is
 40+ miles per day and much of it in the Sierra.

 OUTSTANDING ANDY........you are as we say in the Corps a..........LEAN
MEAN
 HIKING  MACHINE.

 He lost 25lb and was not overweight to begin with..........Ahhhh,
 endurance hiking a great way to loose weight.
 But 25 lb that is a lot, because he was lean to begin with........I bet a
 lot of that weight loss was muscle mass.
 Next he is off to Colorado to do the Colorado trail in 15 days.

WHAT I WOULD GIVE TO BE YOUNG AGAIN AN HAVE ANDY'S ENERGY.
