The author from her asphyxiating fishbowl scope obviously 
surveys so little that is honest, well-intentioned, and true 
that she was left with no point of reference by which to 
measure the real and joyful _human_ article when at last she 
was confronted by it. Her journalism is tarnished by a 
subliminal prejudice which only those beyond the fishbowl 
can see. And this, to me, is far more troubling than any 
mere bent of pretentiousness.
