[pct-l] Bearikade Weekender & Mariposa Pack

Wild Ideas  makes a bear canister called the Bearikade Weekender that 
measures 9 inches in diameter and 10.5  inches in height.  Has anyone used this 
canister inside the Gossamer Gear  Mariposa backpack, placing the canister 
horizontally at the bottom of the  pack, such that the  long axis of the canister (the 
10.5 inch height) is parallel to the ground?  I've been  told the canister 
will fit in the pack vertically, but have no confirmed word if  one can carry 
the canister horizontally in the pack.
