[pct-l] fire identification request

Ancient Brit, in his 2006 trail journal (see below), reported a fire. 
Does anyone here know the name that was given to this specific burn?

"He said the fire had been started by hikers, ... who were using a 
leaking home-made ‘Pepsi-can’ alcohol stove."
