I'll put a word in for a silnylon poncho. I sweat bigtime, all the time when walking uphill for any length of time. The poncho does its job as well as letting me alter how much breeze gets to my clothes... There are a couple ponchos that double as tarps... You can expect rain at any time in Oregon or Washington. In 1991 my girlfriend and I hiked in a two day storm around Bucks Lake, normally summer seriously dry. Miserable...
