[pct-l] Ashland via Amtrak Thruway Bus

Getting to Ashland on the Amtrak Thruway Bus is only available via Amtrak's 
San Joaquin or Capitol trains - you need to transfer to the bus at 
Sacramento (having gotten to Sacramento on one of those two lines).  The San 
Joaquin originates in Bakersfield and the Capitol in Oakland.  I believe 
there is only one northbound and one southbound bus per day, so you would 
have to coordinate your arrival in Sacramento with that departure.  Also, an 
advance reservation is required.  You would book your trip from your 
starting point all the way through to Ashland, and Amtrak issues you two 
tickets - one for the train portion and one for the bus.
